ZYX’s strapline “delivering hindsight”, now registered as a trademark, arose during a discussion of the need that the company was addressing. None of us had any problem giving examples of bad decisions that were obviously wrong with hindsight. So obvious that it had to be possible to do better, to have a greater understanding, to appreciate a bigger picture, to identify the uncertainties, opportunities as well as risks, at the time of decision making.
In other words to have the benefit of hindsight before the decision is actually made.
And this was how the strapline “delivering hindsight” arose…………from a discussion in which everyone was able and encouraged to give of their best, an aspect of the decision-making process. Critical decisions should be made in a suitable environment, at the right time, with everyone in good shape, fully focused, commited and alert.
